Loretta M Hackett, age 88 of Concord, passed away January 26, 2020. Loretta was born July 23, 1931 in Wappingers Falls, NY. She was a long time resident of Wappingers Falls and attended the Wappingers Central School district followed by vocational school in Newburgh, NY in which she studied cosmetology and became a licensed cosmetologist. Loretta was the daughter of the late Giuseppe “Joseph” Valentino and the late Vincenzina Di Mare Valentino. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James “Buddy” Leonard Hackett and siblings (5 sisters and 4 brothers).

The family will announce a celebration of life service for Loretta at a later date.

Survivors include her sons, Allen Hackett and Rande Hackett & wife, Irene; daughters, Sharon Michelson and Dawn Mulligan; son in law, Andrew Mulligan; five grandchildren, Abigail, Zoe, Christopher, Michael and Kerri and great grandchild, Aliana.

Loretta enjoyed cooking, being a wife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed sewing and arts & crafts. She retired as a Teachers Aide from Dutchess County BOCES. Prior to that she was a licensed beautician and owned a beauty salon in Wappingers Falls. In later years she provided a traveling beautician service to the elderly at their residence.

Cabarrus Funeral Cremation & Cemetery of Concord is serving the Hackett family.
