Madame Twiggs was my French teacher at Hope Mills High School from 1970-1972. She was one of the best , most inspiring teachers that I ever had. She inspired me to be a French teacher and to love the French language and culture. We had re-connected through Facebook in recent years, and learned that we had once lived very close in Winston-Salem, NC. I had no idea that she lived there during the 8 years we lived in WS ! I will certainly miss the friendship that we had re-established on Facebook. I was shocked to learn that she had passed, although I had gathered that her health was not good.
