Janette Broome Mann, 67, of Concord, North Carolina, passed on Monday, December 4th in the early morning hours, with her family by her side.
Janette was born to Badge and Shirley Broome on June 8th, 1950 in Concord, North Carolina. She graduated from Concord High School in 1968 and received her Nursing Degree from the Cabarrus Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1981. She married Tom Mann in 1987, and they lived together in Concord, North Carolina until his passing in 2013.
She leaves as her legacy 3 devoted children, Matthew Philemon, Amanda Philemon, and Anna Mann as well as 6 grandchildren, Matthew Herring, Joshua Kirks, Jacob Philemon, Madison Philemon, Rayleigh Sandlin and Lance Geitner. She has 3 sisters that will always cherish her memory, Elaine Turner, Daphne Blackwelder, and Annette Rowland. She will be remembered lovingly by many nieces and nephews. Her family remembers her as a passionate woman full of life and determination to never give up.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Maurice Broome.
Janette served as a Registered Cardiac Nurse at what is now CMC-Northeast, until her retirement in 1992. She loved her career, and this passion of caring for others extended to her family and friends as well.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 9th, at 11 a.m., at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, Concord, NC. Receiving of friends will immediately follow the service. A private burial will be held.
